Changes to PMP® Training Requirements (Late Q4 2026)
To ensure consistent, high-quality preparation worldwide, PMI® is updating its live training eligibility requirements.
What This Means for You
If you complete PMP® training through a live class, your hours will only count if the course is delivered by:
- A PMI Authorized Training Partner (ATP)
- A China Registered Education Provider (REP)
- An eligible accredited academic program (including PMI Global Accreditation Center programs)
PMP® Exam Report
During the exam, you are required to respond to 180 situational questions within a timeframe of 240 minutes. Two breaks of 10 minutes each are permitted. However, you are not permitted to review any questions you have already answered after taking a break. PMI® scores 170 questions, with 10 pilot questions excluded from scoring. Incorrect answers do not incur negative scores.

PMI does not disclose the exact number of correct answers required to pass the PMP® exam.
